Arsenal Should Consider Significant Transfer Swap Offer Following Unexpected Rumors of £50m Gabriel Jesus Departure

We’re not even in October, but there have already been some noteworthy transfer speculations that might leave Arsenal fans anxious in the coming months. Despite a successful summer transfer window, where only Declan Rice has truly showcased his quality so far, there is hope that the Gunners can secure more crucial signings.

Mikel Arteta arguably needs another midfielder, especially given the injuries this season, and questions have been raised about the center-forward position. Although Eddie Nketiah has stepped up in the absence of Gabriel Jesus, the constant changes have left the attack looking far from its best.

Jesus has been working on regaining fitness in the first two months but has also been shifted to the right, a position he occasionally played at Manchester City but hasn’t needed much in north London. The real linchpin remains Bukayo Saka, and concerns about his playing time and availability highlight not only his quality but also a potential overreliance on the 22-year-old.

Given these circumstances, it’s not surprising that Arsenal is being linked with potential reinforcements in that area. According to Darren Bent, Pedro Neto should be considered as an option to bolster the wide positions. He stated on Sportsview: ‘Yeah, at Wolves, he’s too good. I’m hoping Arsenal gets him. That’s what I’m hoping because he is fantastic.’

Neto has had an impressive start to the season, contributing with one goal and four assists in the opening weeks. He has played a role in over 50% of Gary O’Neil’s side’s goals and has displayed promising fitness levels. Given previous links to the Emirates Stadium, there’s reason to believe that Arsenal might explore a potential deal.

While Jesus is not completely untouchable, he’s as close as Arsenal can get. There aren’t many players who offer the kind of creativity, intelligent movement, and spatial awareness that he does. Arsenal has struggled to hit top form without him, and his value to the team goes beyond tangible statistics.

Napoli may have acquired a good player in Jesus, but Arsenal would only consider a deal if it involved Victor Osimhen going the other way. Osimhen could enhance the squad’s clinical edge, something that Jesus has been lacking during his time in England. However, Jesus remains a pivotal figure in the team, both on and off the pitch, and there’s no reason for Arsenal to be concerned about losing their star at this point. While this is an interesting rumor, it’s unlikely to materialize.
