Brazil Coach Diniz Enthusiastic About the Neymar and Vinicius Partnership in Today’s World Cup Qualifier

Brazil’s coach, Fernando Diniz, is eager to witness Neymar and Vinicius Jr. playing together in today’s 2026 World Cup qualifier against Venezuela and is focused on fostering a sense of unity within the team. Diniz took temporary charge of Brazil after Tite’s departure following their quarter-final exit in the Qatar World Cup and will be succeeded by Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti next year.

Despite his temporary role, the 49-year-old coach, who also manages Fluminense, is committed to leaving his mark on the national team and maintaining their position atop the South American qualifying competition.

He praised Neymar, Vinicius, and Rodrygo as highly talented and intelligent players who have built a good rapport with each other, both in training and in the game. Vinicius, who usually occupies a similar position to Neymar, returns to the squad after missing the first two qualifiers due to injury.

Diniz’s primary goal is to establish a balanced and cohesive team. He aims to nurture camaraderie and a familial atmosphere within the squad, with experienced players welcoming newcomers. Brazil will face Venezuela in Cuiaba before taking on Uruguay in Montevideo five days later.
