Man City to Pursue RB Leipzig’s Dani Olmo Next Summer If Spain International Becomes Available

Football Insider reports that Manchester City has identified the summer transfer window of 2024 as a realistic opportunity to secure their long-term target, Dani Olmo. As the winter transfer window approaches, rumors have circulated regarding the Spanish star, and Arsenal and Chelsea are also linked to a potential move for Olmo. Barcelona is among the favorites from Spain to potentially acquire the 25-year-old next summer.

Dani Olmo is currently under contract with RB Leipzig until June 2027, having renewed his terms in June. While the German club is prepared for his eventual departure, they hope that a strong showing in EURO 2024 next summer will further enhance his market value.

Despite suffering a knee injury in early September, Olmo has had an impressive start to this season with Leipzig, scoring five goals and providing one assist in four matches. It is unlikely that a January transfer will be approved by the Bundesliga club, considering their recent loss of key players. Thus, Manchester City is considered the frontrunner to acquire the Spain international following EURO 2024.
