Leicester City’s Departure Nears as Transfer Amount for Timothy Castagne to Fulham Unveiled

Fulham is reportedly set to pay Leicester City a £15 million fee for Timothy Castagne, as the full-back prepares for a medical at Craven Cottage. In an effort to reshape the team under Enzo Maresca, Leicester City is aiming to reduce their squad size ahead of the impending Friday transfer deadline. Castagne, a Belgian international, is anticipated to leave after Leicester’s relegation from the Premier League.

Despite interest from Arsenal and Juventus in the Belgian player this summer, Fulham appears to have emerged as the favored destination. According to Belgian journalist Sacha Tovolieri, an agreement has been reached between Leicester City and Fulham, with Fulham agreeing to a fee of £15 million, inclusive of potential add-ons.

Castagne is scheduled to undergo a medical examination with Fulham on Monday, with intentions to sign a four-year contract afterward. An official announcement regarding the transfer is expected to be made on Tuesday, just three days before the transfer deadline.

Having initially joined Leicester City from Atalanta in Italy during the summer of 2020, Castagne made an immediate impact by scoring on his debut in a 3-0 Premier League victory against West Bromwich Albion.
