Manchester United’s Latest Updates on Injuries and Suspensions Ahead of Brentford Match

Manchester United will be looking to recover from back-to-back home defeats as they prepare to host Brentford at Old Trafford in the Premier League this Saturday.

The Red Devils recently suffered a 1-0 loss at home to Crystal Palace in the league, marking their fourth defeat in the first seven matches of the season and placing them in 10th position in the table. Additionally, Erik ten Hag’s team faced a 3-2 defeat to Galatasaray in the Champions League on Tuesday, leaving them at the bottom of Group A with no points.

Luke Shaw

Shaw remains sidelined with a muscular injury sustained earlier this season, and the English international is not expected to return until the following month.

Tyrell Malacia

The backup left-back, is also unavailable due to a muscular issue, and he is not expected to return until next month.

Lisandro Martinez

He initially suffered a foot injury in April, recently underwent a second operation and will be out of action for the next two to three months.

Amad Diallo

continues to be sidelined with a knee injury he picked up during pre-season, and it is likely to be another six weeks before he is available for selection.

Kobbie Mainoo

He considered a major doubt for the upcoming match against Brentford due to an ankle problem he sustained during pre-season. He did, however, train before the Galatasaray match and has an outside chance of making it back into the squad for this game.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Another defender, is currently unavailable due to a muscular problem, and he is not expected to return until November.

Sergio Reguilon

Sergio is also considered a major doubt for the Brentford match due to a hamstring issue, although there is a possibility he could be included in the squad.

In terms of suspensions, Jadon Sancho continues to train separately from the first team following a high-profile falling-out with Ten Hag, and he will once again be unavailable for selection.
