Napoli expresses concern following Osimhen’s injury while playing for Nigeria.

Napoli is facing concern following reports of Victor Osimhen sustaining an injury and limping off during Nigeria’s friendly match against Roberto Mancini’s Saudi Arabia.

The center-forward was part of the starting XI for the game, which concluded with a 2-2 result.

Despite Nigeria overturning a deficit to level the score, Osimhen, at the 55th minute, suddenly fell to the ground after a collision, signaling to the bench for a substitution.

The nature of the injury is yet to be determined, but it raises worries for Napoli, especially with crucial upcoming matches against Verona, Union Berlin in the Champions League, and Milan in Serie A.

Osimhen has a history of unfortunate injuries while representing Nigeria, including a dislocated shoulder in November 2020 that sidelined him for two months. Additionally, he faced two separate instances of contracting COVID during Christmas visits back home.
