Reports: Gio Reyna, Nottingham Forest’s recent signing, attracts attention from top-six clubs following the agreed deal.

According to sources disclosed to Football Insider, elite Premier League teams are anticipated to closely monitor the progress of Gio Reyna during his tenure at Nottingham Forest. Transfer correspondent Pete O’Rourke, speaking on Football Insider’s Insider Track Podcast, suggested that if the highly-rated attacker excels in the top-flight, he could attract the attention of major clubs.

Nottingham Forest secured a late-window deal with Borussia Dortmund to bring Reyna on loan for the remainder of the season, although there is no obligation to make the transfer permanent, opening the possibility for him to be sold to another club after his stint at the City Ground. Despite his challenging start this season, marked by limited starts in the Bundesliga due to injury, the versatile Reyna, who can play on both flanks and in attacking midfield, is expected to draw interest from significant English clubs if he regains his form outside of Germany.

Having spent four impressive years at Borussia Dortmund since his move from MLS side New York City FC in 2019, Reyna has made 121 appearances, scoring 17 goals and providing 16 assists. He is a well-established member of the USMNT, with 24 appearances since his debut in November 2020.

Nottingham Forest currently holds the 16th position in the Premier League table, and after a 2-1 defeat to Arsenal, they are set to face Bournemouth in their upcoming match on Sunday afternoon, February 4th.
