“Jordan Pickford has earned a nomination for the Premier League’s Castrol Save of the Month award for January. The Everton goalkeeper’s saves against Aston Villa and Fulham have both been shortlisted for the honor.
This marks the second consecutive month that Pickford has been recognized, following his exceptional save against Tottenham Hotspur in December.
In January, Pickford’s nomination includes his crucial stop against Aston Villa, where he denied Leon Bailey’s attempt at the near post during the goalless draw at Goodison Park. Additionally, his impressive leaping save from Tosin Adarabioyo’s header in the match against Fulham at Craven Cottage has also made the cut.
Pickford’s saves are among a list of five other remarkable saves, featuring two from Martin Dubravka, one from Emiliano Martinez, and one from Dorde Petrovic.
Voting for the award will conclude at midday on Monday, February 12th.
