Manager Mauricio Pochettino extends a warm invitation to Chelsea owners to join the dressing room

Chelsea’s manager, Mauricio Pochettino, expresses his approval of the club’s owners visiting the team’s dressing room after matches, as long as their presence doesn’t involve giving speeches.

This follows an incident where Blues co-owner Behdad Eghbali entered the dressing room after the team’s loss to Aston Villa. Despite Chelsea’s slow start to the season, Pochettino welcomes the owners, citing previous experiences at Espanyol, Southampton, Tottenham, and Paris St-Germain.

Chelsea’s co-owners, including Todd Boehly, have been regularly visiting the dressing room, with Boehly reportedly expressing dissatisfaction with the team’s performance earlier in the season. Pochettino emphasizes that it’s the manner in which the owners interact with the players that matters most. He appreciates their presence and discussions about the game but differentiates between their visit and delivering speeches. Pochettino believes that if the owners engage positively, they are very much welcome.

Pochettino doesn’t perceive any additional pressure from Chelsea’s owners compared to his previous coaching experiences at Southampton and Tottenham. He acknowledges the team’s struggle to score goals but believes that Chelsea’s overall performance is better than in his previous roles and doesn’t consider the pressure greater at Chelsea.”
