Tottenham informs Leeds of the requested price for a permanent deal involving Joe Rodon, with a margin of £5m flexibility granted.

Tottenham Hotspur are poised to capitalize on Joe Rodon following his loan stints at Leeds United, with their desired profit from his sale now disclosed, as per a report.

Having spent the previous season on loan at Rennes and currently on loan at Leeds this season, where he has been instrumental in their Championship promotion bid, Rodon’s permanent signature could be up for grabs if Leeds secure a Premier League return.

Reports from Football Insider suggest that Tottenham will set a transfer fee ranging from £10m to £15m for his departure, with manager Ange Postecoglou not including Rodon in his long-term plans and thus open to his sale.

There’s potential for Tottenham to make a profit on Rodon, having initially signed him for around £11m nearly four years ago. With Rodon’s marketability increasing and his contract with Tottenham set to expire soon, the timing seems opportune for a move.

Leeds isn’t the sole destination for Rodon, as other Premier League clubs have also shown interest. Despite inquiries from top-flight clubs as early as January, Rodon’s loan spell at Leeds was extended, unlike Djed Spence, who departed early for Genoa.

Rodon has accumulated more appearances for Leeds (31) than for Tottenham (24). Although he’s played more in the Championship than the Premier League, it appears Rodon is gearing up for top-flight football next season, albeit not with Tottenham.

At 26 years old, Rodon is approaching the peak of his career and is eager to make the most of it. Tottenham’s recent defensive signings suggest limited opportunities for Rodon in North London, making a permanent departure seem beneficial for all parties involved, provided he finds a club where he can secure regular playing time.

Leeds remains an attractive option for Rodon’s continuity, particularly if they secure Premier League status, as they would be able to meet Tottenham’s asking price for Rodon.
