Tottenham’s Injury Update: Potential Returns for Key Players Ahead of Fulham Match, Ange Postecoglou Provides Details on Several Players

Tottenham Hotspur is optimistic about the return of several key players as they prepare for a crucial Monday night Premier League showdown against Fulham. The Lilywhites are currently sharing the top spot in the league with Arsenal after an impressive start to the 2023/24 season. After the second international break, they’ll be playing catch-up on Monday as their rivals play their matches before them.

During the international break, some injury concerns arose, particularly with regards to Cristian Romero and Son Heung-min. Romero had to leave the field during Argentina’s game against Peru due to a swollen right ankle. Son was seen limping during South Korea’s match against Vietnam. Fortunately for Spurs, these issues don’t seem to be a problem for the Fulham game.

Ange Postecoglou, the manager, provided a positive update, stating, “It’s been a pretty positive international break for us. Everyone is back, and the medical reports suggest there are no major fitness concerns. We also had a couple of senior debuts for Destiny and Micky, who played for their national teams. It was a productive break.”

In more good news, Brennan Johnson, Rodrigo Bentancur, and Bryan Gil are nearing their return to action. There is also hope for Giovanni Lo Celso, who featured in Argentina’s World Cup qualifying wins over Paraguay and Peru. Postecoglou stated, “Gio Lo Celso played for Argentina as well, which was great. These guys have all come through the break well, along with Brennan, Bentancur, and Gil.”
