Manchester United midfielder Casemiro to sit out the next Premier League fixture due to injury

Manchester United’s Casemiro, who is dealing with a minor injury, will be absent from the team’s upcoming Premier League match against Sheffield United this Saturday. The Brazilian midfielder has opted to remain in his home country for recovery following his participation in World Cup qualifying matches against Venezuela and Uruguay. This decision aligns with the club’s recommendation for a swift recovery.

Casemiro has faced challenges at the start of the season, including a red card and a conceded penalty in the 3-2 Champions League defeat to Galatasaray. His error in the following match against Brentford led to a goal for Mathias Jensen, resulting in his halftime substitution during a 2-1 win.

United has confirmed that Casemiro, who is suspended for the upcoming Champions League game against Copenhagen, is expected to return to the club’s training center early next week. In more positive news, Sergio Reguilon, who missed the past four games due to injury, has resumed training. Sofian Amrobat, absent from Morocco’s recent matches against Liberia and Ivory Coast, was also back in training on Thursday.
